Four Seasons - Surf Club - Miami

Real Estate

Yesterday I visited the Four Seasons Surf Club here in Miami.  The Four Seasons Private Residences at The Surf Club combines the elegant architecture of Pritzker Prize-winner Richard Meier with the intuitive, customized service of Four Seasons, and a unique history.  Originally opened in 1930, The Surf Club has for more than 80 years been one of the most exclusive private membership clubs in the United States and the club’s original architecture is integrated into The Surf Club Four Seasons Private Residences.

There are 31 Hotel Residences, 119 Private Residences, and 77 Hotel residences.  As you can see, there fewer residences in these resort homes compared to the footprint of similar beachfront luxury homes.   The reason, square footage of the residences.  They are HUGE.   The residences range from 1800 to 7800 square feet.  Floor to ceiling windows throughout.  Custom-design shade pockets.  Effortless "lift and glide" terrace doors with minimum 6 foot openings up to 12 ft openings in select residences.  Glass panels spanning 6 feet wide and 93/4 feet high.  Expansive terraces up to 12 feet in depth.  All residences delivered furniture ready complete with installed Richard Meir selected Italian Travertine Flooring.  Richard Meier,   Boffi   designed kitchen with white high-lacquer finished cabinets.  Corian  countertops with seamless monolithic sinks.   Sub-zero and Miele integrated appliance package, including Miele 5-burner cooktop.  Bathroom, fixtures, fittings and accessories by Toto, Duravit, Dada, and Dornbracht.  Laundry rooms are outfitted with full sized washer and dryers.  Dedicated service elevators for staff and deliveries.  Chilled water air conditioning and multi-zone climate controlled systems.

Now for the fun part:  If you want to drink in style and get your buzz on - check out the Churchill Bar honoring one of the Club's most legendary guest, Winston Churchill    Then you may dine in sophistication at the Surf Club Restaurant by Thomas Keller with oceanfront  terrace.  Or you want Italian - check out the Le Sirenuse Restaurant and Champagne Bar.
